Havana woke at 9:30 PM last night, much earlier than the day before! She sat around outside her hide (that’s how I knew she was awake) without moving very much for about 30 minutes before I decided to take her out of her tank for a play date.
I started out just holding her in my lap until she felt more comfortable (snakes are always a bit spooked when you first take them out of their tank). After about 10 minutes of stroking her, she started to relax.
When she’s not resting in a ball-like-lump, she really enjoys being coiled around an arm or a wrist. It’s as though your arm is a tree branch! Thomas and I played with her for about 30 minutes before putting her back inside her tank.
